UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT UNVEILS NEW CUSTOMER WEBSITE
New UniversalOrlando.com Helps Guests Plan a Better Vacation
Provides Personalized Content
ORLANDO, Fla. Universal Orlando Resort has created a brand new web site now available at UniversalOrlando.com that is focused on helping guests plan a better, more personalized vacation experience.
The new site will allow visitors to customize their vacation to fit their personal interests and needs. While guests browse the website, they will view relevant content and offers based on information they provide, such as their point of origin, date of visit and make-up of their group. For example, a mom with young children who is planning a vacation to Universal Orlando can be guided to kid-friendly options such as information about Seuss Landing at Universals Islands of Adventure or show-times for A Day in the Park with Barney at Universal Studios. Couples vacationing without children may instead be guided to nightlife options at Universals Citywalk or spa treatments at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel.
We've created a new web site that is both convenient and fun, as well as relevant for each visitor, said Alice Norsworthy, executive vice president of Marketing and Sales at Universal Orlando Resort. We have an incredible story about Universal Orlando to share with our guests and that adventure begins with the first click on our new site.
Consumers using the new website will also be able to create customized maps to help guide them through Universals theme parks when they arrive. The site now features a new, easy to use, expansive interactive 3-D map of Universal Orlando where guests can explore each of the resorts experiences. Theyll be able to highlight attractions to visit and print out their own customized map - as well as view photos and video clips of actual rides and shows. The animated map shows both Universal Orlando theme parks, major CityWalk venues and the three on-site hotels.
Visitors to the new site will also see bright, new, larger-than-life images of the resort: beware the mighty T-Rex in Jurassic Park, rock with the band on-stage at CityWalks Rising Star and relax by the pool at Hard Rock Hotel. Plus, new video clips and photo slideshows of each attraction, hotel, restaurant and show give guests a complete look at all Universal Orlando Resort has to offer. An easy-to-use explorer navigation bar on the left portion of the screen puts the information right at guests fingertips.
Other new additions include feedback from actual guests and categories of helpful information (i.e., ride height requirements, newest attractions, casual dining versus fine dining options, show times, etc.) The new site design was developed in collaboration with Moving Interactive, an international digital product development firm.
